Final Page of 2015

Brad Paisley said,
"Tomorrow is the first blank page of 365 a page book. Write a good one."

Now is the time to list out all of those important resolutions for 2016. Beyond the usual suspects, you know -- shedding all that fluff, saving more money, and finding the time to do some yoga -- how about trying a few style-specific resolutions? We all know the new year brings in big sales, who doesn't love sales? I know I do! But, you can't forget the same traditional resolution, saving money. Instead of heading into the new year broke, why not shop your own closet?

We all know it's much easier shopping online or browsing in store for a new outfit instead of looking through all of those hidden treasures your closet holds. I'm quite embarrassed to say I'm one of those people. I'm quick to buy a new shirt or dress before browsing through my closet. Honestly, my closet holds so much that I don't even open the door, what I wear the most hangs on a shelf above my TV. I still have clothing from 2012 with price tags still hanging. To bring in the new year, how about all of us fashion lovers out there take a deep dive into our closet? We'll all be pleasantly surprised with what that madness might bring.

Wait... don't get discouraged, you CAN still shop! If you're looking for a new piece of clothing, invest in a classic piece. Don't go for that trendy aztec print sweater, go for something dark, you can live in that sweater forever. Still wanting to shop? Throw out those old bras that have wires poking out through the side, we all know it's a hard thing to do, especially letting go of your favorite black bra, but invest in a new, comfortable and quality collection of undergarments. No need to keep those loose threads, let 'em go. Lastly, let go of the dark vibe that we all love so much. Bring some color into the new year. It's so easy wearing that same black dress or your oversized t-shirt, but spice up your attire with some colors, don't forget spring will be here soon (or at least March will be).

Take on this New Year with quite a few risks -- even if that means trying those colors you've never touched before in your eyeshadow palette. Maintain a healthy skincare regimen. Get organized. Wear more color. Shop your own closet. And catch those great sales!

P.S, I heard Spence and Lane has a pre-order for Southern Doe long sleeve t-shirts! Get rid of that old, worn out t-shirt and get a new one before they sale out!

Chapter 12 of 12

I hope all of you ate to your heart’s desire, spent a timeless amount of time with your family and friends, and gave thanks for what you’ve been blessed with! The holiday cheer is in the air! It’s time to start counting down the days to Christmas!

The last three months of the year have always been my favorite. There is a holiday each month! Who doesn't enjoy holidays? December and October have to be my favorite though because of all the candy, gifts, scary movies and christmas movies! I must of forgot to mention I love watching movies.. well know you know but that's not all! This holiday season I want to share a few things you can do with your family, children, friends, or that special someone..

1. Watch Christmas movies -- my favorite Christmas movie is: The Christmas Shoes

2. Decorate the house -- decorating for the holidays is always fun but what's a better way to get into the holiday spirit than doing it together and making the house fun and cute!

3. Sing Christmas carols -- most people enjoy music and singing so why not sing together! It's a good way to spend quality time with each other and to make memories!

4. Be festive, have an ugly Christmas sweater contest -- We did this one year, at school, in FCCLA and the winner got a prize!

5. Bake cookies or other sweets -- because everyone deserves something sweet once in a while so baking together creates memories together and everyone will enjoy!

We hope everyone haves a fun safe holiday season!

Grounded in Gratitude

Count your blessings and you'll find even a "bad" day is filled witch precious gifts.

Gratitude. The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. With the holiday's quickly approaching, remember to appreciate the cherished moments with your loved ones. It isn't always about the food or the gifts, and especially not the sales. It's the appreciation you show and kindness in return. Meister Eckhart once said, "If the only prayer you ever say in your life is 'thank you,' that would suffice.

'Tis The Season To Get A Gift From Spence and Lane

'Tis the Season To Be Jolly...
No, wait..
'Tis the Season To Give A Gift From

Not sure what to get that special someone this holiday season? Well, Chelsea and I will be sure to help! Spence and Lane  has everything someone would want this holiday season. Give them a gift of joy and a gift from Spence and Lane!

Here are five (5) gifts we recommended giving someone this holiday season!

1. The Forever Plaid Cardigan -- this cardigan can easily be paired with a simple top and jeans to make for a classy look. Another reason why this a good go to gift? Plaid is in season and who doesn't like cardigans?

2. The Shabby Chic Vest -- this vest can easily be paired with pretty much any outfit! It's affordable and I'm sure the person getting this gift will love it just as much as your wallet!

3. The Fur Your Eyes Only Vest -- Fur vest have been very popular this holiday season, and I know a lot of people have been wanting to get their hands on one, so how about you go snatch one from Spence and Lane and gift it to yourself or that special friend or person in your life!

4. The Over The Knee Boots in Black or Tan -- Boots are a go to for most girls, so why not gift a pair? They can easily be styled to make a dressy outfit or a lazy outfit!

5. Last Call Long Sleeve Dress -- Do you know a girl that loves to wear dresses all year around? Well be sure to get this dress and give it to her as a gift this holiday season, she will sure love it considering it is long sleeved and pretty color combination!

Happy Holidays!
This holiday season spread love and kindness and be thankful for the little things in life.
