Secrets to styling.

There aren’t many other pieces of clothing or extra accessories that come close to the many benefits scarves have to offer. Scarves are a quintessential fashion accessory. They’ll keep you warm, make you look incredibly stylish, and can make your entire outfit pop. The best thing yet? Scarves are a very versatile piece and allows for much play! Perhaps you don’t have but a few, but that’s okay! As a woman (or man), you can conquer any type of outfit with just a few or even that one, with the different styles they have to offer. There isn't just one type of scarves, there are many. You have your neutral scarves, colorful scarves, glam scarves, statement scarves, snug scarves, and even blanket scarves. Continue reading if you would like to see how versatile and essential scarves actually are.

Types of Scarves:

Statement Scarf: Any scarf can be transformed into a statement piece, from one bright, funky color to an exquisite fabric. Aside from keeping you warm, its main function is to spice up a look and make it look well thought out and put together. A statement scarf can transform any outfit from basic to a chic and crafted masterpiece. It’s an enliven piece, make it funky and bold, anything that pull togethers a crafted outfit when it’s cold!

Fringe Scarf: Fringe is a huge hit in the fall, it’s one of the seasons biggest trends. A fringe scarf can create a variety of looks, it’s such a versatile piece. Are you going for that boho look or are you looking for something more contemporary, like a country inspired look?

Neutral Scarf: Like to mix and match pieces in your wardrobe? Well, a neutral colored scarf is something you can mix and match with everything in your closet with any look. Don’t have a plain scarf? It’s definitely a piece you want to get your hands on, I’ll assure you it’ll blend with any outfit you’re trying to create.

Animal Print Scarf: Leopard/Cheetah print is a huge trend, especially for fall and winter. It’s a staple print, but for a scarf? Throw one on and add that sassy, wild, chic look to your outfit!

Snug Scarf: As winter is slowly approaching, a snug scarf is great to keep you warm! Viscose, cashmere, or pashmina are great fabrics to keep you warm and cozy as winter takes its toll!

Blanket Scarf: Put the word “blanket” in front of any article of clothing and you know it’s made for the perfect cozy season. Despite it being the perfect essential, blanket scarves can be a puzzling accessory. There’s a lot of fabric that makes it easy to look at but difficult to embrace. Like other scarves, they are easily versatile!

Blanket Scarves: Like previously stated, putting the word "blanket" in front of any article of clothing will mean it's oversized and cozy! There's a lot of fabric, hence the word blanket, but just because there is so much material may make it seem easy to look at, but honestly, the first time I put on my blanket scarf, it was difficult to embrace. Below are a few ways to style/wear your "blanket" scarves.

Style One: Own it. Wear your scarf looped around your neck.

How To:
Step One: Start with your blanket scarf completely open and unfolded.
Step Two: Fold your blanket scarf diagonally, creating a triangle.
Step Three: Take two corners of the triangle and wrap it around to your back side
Step Four: Shape and tuck as necessary

Throw it around your shoulders and bunch it up at the top edge.Step Two: Bring one side around and tuck it snugly.Step Three: Bring the other side around and tuck it snugly.Step Four: Shape and tuck as necessary, until you have a nice triangular shape in the front.

Poncho Style.

Style Three: Cardigan Style (put it around your back and shoulders)

How To:

Step Two: Fold your blanket scarf in half diagonally, creating a triangle

Chapter 10 of 12

Deals to Steal

In today's post we will be talking about the prices and similarities of different boutiques compared to Spence and Lane'sSpence and Lane is a small boutique which is why we're trying to get the word out about such a great boutique with clothing for all ages and most of all, affordable prices. Over the past few years boutiques began getting bigger and bigger (perhaps social media plays a big role in that) well duh! Scrolling through other boutiques websites I see similar items that Spence and Lane has in stock but the question is which is cheaper, since it's pretty much the same item? We've took some research and put it to the test. Results are in! You guessed it! Spence and Lane is cheaper compared to most boutiques (don't complain) Now time to steal the real deal.

Similar Style Different Price:
Doing quite a bit of research through the booming boutiques, like Shop The Mint, Shop Impressions, Entourage Clothing & Gifts, and Jane Divine we seen similar items and even identical ones. We thought we should share this with our readers, be known that we aren't bashing the other companies, we are just giving you a few insights on great deals and helping you save money since the holiday season is approaching. Unlike the boutiques listed, Spence and Lane isn't out there, just yet. They're still in the process of blooming, unlike the ones listed. Being a newer boutique gives us more of a reason to write this "Deals to Steal" blog.

Item one: Do you like a cute plaid tunic that features a hint of flare with high side-slits, button down front, button cuffs and dual front pockets? Well, I think you might like this a little bit better, we’ve found this tunic on Jane Divine and Spence and Lane, but what’s even better than finding it on Spence and Lane? That it is $6.95 cheaper than it is on Jane Divine. For all you plaid and leggings lovers, this is your go to tunic to make that outfit pop! Think we're kidding? Check out the "Honey I'm Good Plaid Tunic" on Jane Divine, but before you make your purchase, come back and click this link to get a better deal!

Item two:What’s your go to style for this fall season? Is it your inner Boho look? With this easy-to-wear tunic or dress, depending on your height, it is perfect for styling with a pair of leggings and riding boots!  The dresses/tunics aren't identical as the one on Spence and Lane, but they are quite a bit similar. The only difference? The price! That's right! Get the Ah-love Green dress for about $2.00 cheaper at Spence and Lane, unless you were browsing on Shop the Mint, then you'll save $6.00.
